A beloved “larger than life” FIFO worker has taken his own life at a WA mine site while mourning his stillborn twins.
Adam Edwards, 32, died suddenly last week at a remote worksite in the state’s northwest.
His passing comes just two months after he and his wife buried their stillborn babies, Penny and James, who were conceived during the couple’s seven-year IVF journey.

Tributes poured in from family and friends who were shocked and saddened by his death.
“He gave the best bear hugs and hugged everyone, even people he just met, with the love and kindness of a long-term friend,” family friend Roumelia Carroll said.
“His laughter carried afar, his joyful presence filled the room, and the love he has for Lucy is what poems are made from.
“There are no words to describe the feelings we are experiencing as we wake up to a world without him.”

“Everyone who knew and loved Adam is devastated,” she said.
“His legacy brings to the fore the importance of mental health for men, particularly those who work fly-in, fly-out.
“I hope no other family goes through this.”
